The Walk to Defeat ALS® is an annual event held in communities all over Texas and throughout the country. Each local walk is between one and three miles in length.
Participants raise money through donations from friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors. You can enter as an individual or as a team; many people create teams to honor or show support for loved ones with ALS.

In-Person Walk to Defeat ALS Events
Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston will all host in-person Walks to Defeat ALS on October 30. We’re looking forward to gathering together as a community to support and celebrate Texans with ALS and their families.
Walk at Home
For Austin, The Woodlands, Fort Worth, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley, the Walk to Defeat ALS is wherever you call home. Host your Walk to Defeat ALS on October 30 in your neighborhood with your friends and family – walk, run, ride, or drive to defeat ALS.
Before we start the Walk, we invite you to join us at the Live Opening Ceremony, featuring the National Anthem, our Unlock ALS presentation, and teams from across Texas. After joining us, start your Walk!
