Walk to Defeat ALS®

The Walk to Defeat ALS® is an annual event held in communities all over Texas and throughout the country. Each local walk is between one and three miles in length.

Participants raise money through donations from friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors. You can enter as an individual or as a team; many people create teams to honor or show support for loved ones with ALS.

Where are the Walks? How do I sign up or donate?

At the ALS Association of Texas, people with ALS and their families come first. To ensure the safety of our ALS community during the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, the Walk to Defeat ALS is wherever you call home. On October 31, for the first time ever, people from across the state will walk on the same day, making a huge impact across Texas and showing that together, we can create a world without ALS. Host your Walk to Defeat ALS at home with your friends and family – walk, run, ride, or drive to defeat ALS. Join us – together we will celebrate, honor, and remember our loved ones with ALS.
